Following the last BEST EN Think Tank, our organisation has been in a transition phase where the Chair passed from Prof. Dagmar Lund-Durlacher to Prof. Gianna Moscardo. She is continuing in the footsteps of our past leaders, and we would like to give hera very warm welcome! Dagmar has been the Chair since the Think Tank in Vienna in 2010, and BEST EN has been carried many miles forward on her shoulders. She has a knack for networking, and in her time we have fostered great partnerships with JOST for our special journal issues, with Tourism for Tomorrow for writing up case studies and publishing a book, and with other organisations that have attended our Think Tanks and helped spread the knowledge of BEST EN in the world.
The new Chair, Gianna Moscardo of James Cook University, is a well-known name in the publishing realm, having produced many journal articles and books in the past decades. She will progress BEST EN further, and we are confident that the organisation is in the best of hands.
